Quick Summary

Summary: This article examines a business that uses AI digital humans—posing as a child and a middle-aged man—to trick middle-aged and older women into placing orders. For ordinary readers, the key takeaways are the playbook and the costs.

1. Playbook: AI Xiaohai claims to be a child in a single-parent family who is bullied at school; when the performance reaches an emotional peak, he pulls out cooking oil and condiments and asks his 'auntie-mothers' to order. The previous generation was AI 'Jianguo Didi', who sang love songs, used corny pickup lines, promised to give away a villa, and then steered users to open a product showcase.

2. Extremely low cost: A digital-human video of under 30 seconds with lip-sync alignment costs as little as RMB 20. A reporter followed public tutorials and published a first video in about ten minutes; within 24 hours it drew over 4,000 views across two platforms and gained more than 60 targeted followers.

3. Revenue and risk: Teams run dozens of accounts at once; an account survives at most five days; commission-based sales earn at least RMB 2,000 a day, and a single account generates about RMB 10,000 over its lifetime.

4. Identification: Image quality is rough, expressions are stiff, and lip-sync often does not match. Although videos are labeled 'content generated by AI', older people can hardly tell. Comments are mostly messy voice-to-text messages.

5. Warning: Be especially alert if an older family member is added on WeChat by a 'brother's private account', pulled into a group that sends red packets, and directed to a third-party livestream to buy health products claimed to regulate chronic diseases.

Summary: The article reveals the consumer funnel through which AI personas hunt the silver-haired demographic, offering lessons for brand marketing, pricing and channels.

1. User behavior: Core fans are women in their 60s and 70s across more than 20 provinces. With children busy at work and lacking companionship, they are willing to pay a 'younger relative' who chats daily and cares about their small concerns; emotional trust precedes product trust.

2. Content template: The fixed structure is 'form of address for an elder + everyday grievance + shopping link framed as a request for help.' Selling face cream uses a beauty-salon scenario; selling socks discusses day-night temperature differences. The persona stays fixed while scenarios change with the category.

3. Pricing and price competition: Showcase products are mostly food and daily chemicals priced from tens to around RMB 200. Perilla seed oil of the same specification sells for RMB 60-70 in supermarkets but is listed at RMB 99; the same brand of Ejiao sells for over RMB 60 elsewhere but is also RMB 99 here. Commission rates in the older-adult segment generally run 50%-70%, far higher than in other categories.

4. Channels: The public showcase is only the first layer. Real profit lies in private domains—adding WeChat contacts, forming groups and sending red packets, then directing users to third-party livestreams with no platform oversight to sell high-margin health products.

5. Trends and a positive path: QuestMobile data show that in May 2026, AIGC active users accounted for 47.3% of the lower-tier market, up 28.3 percentage points in a year. AI actor Fang Taozi, built on authentic content, takes brand ads, endorsement deals and IP derivatives, giving her a longer lifecycle.

Summary: For sellers, this is a high-commission but high-violation track, with clear opportunities and red lines.

1. Policy interpretation: In September 2026, the 'Qinglang: Special Campaign to Rectify False Personas in Short Videos' was launched, with 'impersonating vulnerable groups' listed as the first enforcement priority. Account rental and sales, proxy identity verification and proxy enterprise verification are all included in enforcement. The cost of launching accounts and acquiring users rises by the day.

2. Risk warning: Operators admit these accounts will violate rules 100% of the time and survive at most five days. Recruiting students is essentially collecting real-name identities: students open accounts under their own identities and bear all violation liability, while operators only provide operational guidance and take a commission share.

3. Growth market and opportunities: Products in the older-adult segment carry commission rates of 50%-70%. With dozens of accounts running in parallel, a team earns at least RMB 2,000 a day, and a single account generates about RMB 10,000 over its lifetime. Revenue from any one account is less than 2% of the overall portfolio.

4. What can be learned: Persona and script templates can be replicated indefinitely. AI supplies only a face; the persona supplies an emotional relationship. A matrix of accounts spreads account-ban costs to the extreme, with accounts registered in different provinces under different real-name entities. Whichever account takes off receives concentrated ad spend, in a horse-racing approach.

5. Business model: Monetization has two layers. Public showcases earn on information asymmetry and price spreads; private domains add WeChat contacts, form groups and direct users to livestreams to sell health products. The most stable business is selling courses: 'one-on-one coaching' costs RMB 998, and if the account is banned, the tuition has already been paid.

6. Collaboration: The supply chain is already specialized. Scriptwriting, image creation, editing and distribution, showcase operation and private-domain traffic generation each have dedicated providers. There are also paths for renting or buying accounts and connecting with suppliers.

Summary: Although the article discusses a gray-market business, it clearly exposes the product demand, supply methods and digital tactics behind this kind of sales.

1. Product demand: Featured products are concentrated in food, daily chemicals, health products, skincare creams, face creams, socks, cooking oil, condiments, perilla seed oil and Ejiao. Prices cluster between RMB 19.9 and RMB 99.9, with the tens-to-RMB-200 range selling best.

2. Design and scenarios: Scripts swap scenarios by category. Selling face cream uses a beauty-salon setting; selling socks discusses day-night temperature differences. Products must fit into the everyday narrative of a 'younger relative caring for an elder.'

3. Profit structure: Perilla seed oil of the same specification sells for RMB 60-70 in supermarkets but is listed at RMB 99; the same brand of Ejiao sells for over RMB 60 elsewhere but is also priced at RMB 99 here. Commission rates of 50%-70% mean products must leave room for high commissions. Health products pitched in private domains cost a dozen-plus RMB but are claimed to regulate chronic diseases.

4. Business opportunity: The RMB 998 'one-on-one coaching' course includes supplier connections, indicating dedicated demand for supplier matching. In the supply chain, scriptwriting, image creation, editing and distribution, showcase operation and private-domain traffic generation all have dedicated providers.

5. Digital and e-commerce implications: Digital-human videos of under 30 seconds cost as little as RMB 20, and an account can be launched in about ten minutes. AIGC makes mass content production extremely low-barrier. But such accounts violate rules 100% of the time and do not survive five days. Factories supplying them need to assess brand and compliance risks. The positive approach is to build works and a story core first, as AI actor Fang Taozi did, and then accumulate account value.

Summary: For service providers, this article is both a demand list for AI digital-human content production and account operation and a compliance warning.

1. Industry trend: Continued iteration of large AIGC models is pushing digital humans from concept to large-scale deployment, with better generation quality and lower production barriers. QuestMobile data show that in May 2026, AIGC active users accounted for 47.3% of the lower-tier market, up 28.3 percentage points in a year.

2. New technical capabilities: Digital-human image replication, lip-sync alignment and AI-synthesized voices. Videos of under 30 seconds cost as little as RMB 20. A reporter followed public tutorials and published a first video in about ten minutes; within 24 hours it drew over 4,000 views across two platforms and gained more than 60 targeted followers.

3. Customer pain points: Rising account-launch and user-acquisition costs; accounts that inevitably violate rules and survive at most five days; incomplete real-name and facial-verification identities; the need for batch content supply; and the need to move public traffic into private domains.

4. Solutions: Standardized 'persona + script' templates; matrix operation of dozens of accounts spread across provinces and real-name entities, with concentrated ad spend on whichever account takes off in a horse-racing approach; comment-section traffic directed to WeChat, groups and red packets, then to third-party livestreams; RMB 998 coaching courses bundled with supplier connections.

5. Risk warning: The Qinglang campaign lists impersonating vulnerable groups as its first priority, and account rental and sales, proxy real-name verification and proxy enterprise verification are all within enforcement scope. If service providers copy this model, violation liability will fall on the real-name entities.

Summary: The article lays out both how the gray market exploits platform rules and how platforms are responding, offering reference points for platform operations and risk control.

1. Problems platforms face: The same face is replicated across dozens of accounts registered across platforms and provinces; accounts are rented and sold, and identity and enterprise verification are handled by proxies; 'brother's private account' tactics move users from comment sections to unregulated third-party private-domain livestreams, circumventing platform governance.

2. Latest platform actions: In September 2026, the 'Qinglang: Special Campaign to Rectify False Personas in Short Videos' was launched, listing 'impersonating vulnerable groups' as the first enforcement priority. Accounts such as @Jianguo Didi are banned from being followed. Videos are required to be labeled 'content generated by AI.'

3. Governance difficulties: Accounts sit in different provinces under different real-name entities, so investigations can only reach the outermost account renter or student, making it hard to identify the operators behind them. Banning one account leaves a large batch of reskinned accounts. @Yilu Xieshou (Guoguo), @Good Luck Always, @Guodi Daily Life and others keep updating, with follower counts from 2,000 to 30,000, and more than a dozen derivative livestreams each steadily drawing about 20,000 likes per session.

4. Traffic and recruitment implications: Topics related to Xiaohai have accumulated over 600 million views, showing real demand for emotional content aimed at the silver-haired demographic. Platforms can guide institutions toward a positive IP route like AI actor Fang Taozi, monetizing through brand ads, endorsement deals and IP derivatives.

5. Avoiding regulatory headwinds: Governance is tightening, but reskinning continues. Platforms need to keep strengthening real-name verification, same-face database recognition and private-domain traffic monitoring.

Summary: The article provides a complete sample of the industrialization of gray-market AI digital humans, covering industrial division of labor, regulatory penetration and business-model comparison.

1. New industry development: AI digital-human commerce has iterated from 'Jianguo Didi' 1.0 to 'Xiaohai' 2.0, forming an assembly-line division of labor across scriptwriting, image creation, editing and distribution, showcase operation and private-domain traffic generation. Accounts are matrixed and IPs are familialized, with the son Xiaohai and daughter Xiaoya successively appearing and launching accounts.

2. Business model and cost structure: Content costs as little as RMB 20 per video. A matrix of accounts dilutes account-ban costs, with revenue from any single account accounting for less than 2% of the total. Monetization has three layers: 50%-70% commission rates, high-margin health products in private domains, and RMB 998 course sales. The essence is to transfer violation liability onto students' real-name identities.

3. New problems: AI-generated labels are largely nominal, and older people have difficulty distinguishing them. Account rental and sales and proxy real-name verification mean regulation can only reach the outermost layer, separating responsibility from profit. AIGC active users already account for 47.3% of the lower-tier market, giving the gray market a massive audience base.

4. Policy and regulatory implications: The Qinglang campaign makes impersonating vulnerable groups its first priority and includes account rental and sales, proxy identity verification and proxy enterprise verification in enforcement. But reskinned accounts are still updating, indicating a need to strengthen real-name penetration, face-database matching and cross-platform coordination.

5. Theoretical implications: Technology itself is neutral. The same capabilities can split into two paths: gray arbitrage and content IP like AI actor Fang Taozi. The former is fast and short-lived but unsustainable; the latter starts slowly but accumulates content assets and fan assets. Whether it creates real value determines how far the track can go.
