最近几年,华为、绿联等新品牌进入这一领域,把NAS这类产品带到了大众消费者面前。最近,小米也被爆料要推出NAS产品,网友在AppStore发现“小米智能存储”App闪现(现已隐藏),支持手机备份、相册、文件管理、影视等多个功能,疑似小米NAS配套App。

不过,NAS这类产品始终处于不温不火的状态,更多人知道有这类产品,但未必会觉得需要,也不太会购买。

但随着AI浪潮来袭,NAS迎来了新的发展机遇。有的品牌认为,NAS有望摆脱数据存储这项单一的属性,进化成为家庭场景下的AI中枢。那么,AI NAS真的有可能实现爆发吗?以下是雷科技(ID:leitech)的看法。

普通NAS走向AI NAS,算力是关键

大家都知道,传统NAS,最核心的部件其实就是矩阵化的硬盘阵列。我们把几块硬盘堆叠在一起,给它连上网、通上电,让家里的手机、电脑、电视等设备能读写它存储的数据。这个过程中,为了实现连网,需要给NAS配备有线和无线网卡;为了通电,要配备电源;为了让不同硬盘组合起来,要提供接口和主板;为了让整个NAS运转起来,得组建一个芯片+内存+主板微型智能系统。

所以,绝大部分的传统NAS,虽然硬件架构和PC很接近,但要简陋得多,毕竟它的核心功能只有维持存储服务正常运转这一个。

而NAS一直没能成为大众产品,在我看来原因也并不复杂:一方面,长周期里,存储价格是一路走低的,SSD变成白菜价不过短短几年时间,手机、电脑本身的存储空间已经能满足大部分需求;另一方面,云存储服务快速发展,无论是手机品牌提供的云服务还是大容量的网盘,都基本能满足云端和本地端之间数据传输的需求。

而AI NAS,就是要在数据存储之外,增加更多更强的能力,最核心的就是AI算力。今年五月,国产GPU品牌摩尔线程推出了一款硬件新品AICUBE,把AI作为了核心卖点。

就产品形态来说,AICUBE更接近NAS和迷你主机。作为NAS来说,它的配置相当豪华,有全大核CPU、32GB内存,内置了1TB SSD,还可以免拆机扩容,自然也拥有高拓展性的全功能C口。

它的更大看点是AI算力,得益于集成的全功能GPU,异构算力能达到50TOPS。同时,基于它的算力,摩尔线程又配置了配套的「小麦智能体」,基于端侧的语言大模型、图像识别模型,支持多项Skills和App跨应用控制。

就硬件配置而言,AICUBE已经达到了PC的级别,因此摩尔线程把它定义为AI Agent、AI PC、AI NAS三合一设备。

与此同时,作为老牌厂商的群晖,也在加速NAS的AI化转型。前不久的台北电脑展上,群晖带来了新一代DSM系统,它支持本地模型部署,还推出了Agent私有AI助手,支持自动化任务。

基础功能方面,群晖的本地搜索增强了,支持自然语言模糊搜索,还支持智能过滤,能够识别和解析本地的图片、视频,甚至能精准定位到时间戳,相比老版称得上是大幅升级了。

而要实现这些功能,提升本地算力很重要。目前,群晖旗下还没有这类NAS产品。不过,群晖已经在准备了,它表示年内就会推出支持GPU加速的全新NAS型号,能够满足AI本地运算的算力需求。

在我看来,相比手机、PC等设备,NAS的本地算力更重要。NAS作为家庭存储中心,它的内网连接效率比外网连接更优先。毕竟,家庭宽带的上行速率存在明显的瓶颈,NAS大部分应用场景是让本地数据快速在内网中传输。如果AI NAS过度依赖云端算力,那么执行效率会大打折扣。

存储涨价,对NAS有好处也有坏处

存储涨价,波及的消费电子产品很多,作为存储产品的NAS自然也会被影响。前面说过,传统NAS的硬件架构并不复杂,最核心的就是内存和硬盘,而它们都在疯狂涨价。也就是说,现在的用户如果要配备大容量NAS,得付出比过去更高的成本。

不过,在此我要表达一个比较反常识的观点:存储涨价,对NAS也是优势。NAS作为存储中心设备,核心优势就是存储容量配置灵活,比手机这种产品有更大的增长空间。

毕竟,手机存储空间2TB就到顶了,而这个容量在NAS上只是最基础的水平。同时,NAS作为24小时联网运行的设备,它的容量是可以「共享」的,通过网络连接能够作为其他电子设备的跨端外接存储,从而成为最高性价比的存储方案。

存储涨价,冲击最大的主要是手机、PC这类产品,因为它们日常承载的任务最繁杂,对性能要求最高,通常配备最新最高规格的内存和闪存。相对而言,NAS受到的冲击更小。

虽然说NAS必然要配备内存和硬盘,但大部分时候,NAS需要的内存容量很小,低端产品512MB、1GB就够了,高端旗舰产品也不过2GB、4GB,顶多8GB。硬盘方面,大部分NAS都是配备大容量的机械硬盘,它在涨价潮中的价格涨幅约为50%,相比SSD动辄翻倍的飙涨,还算是能让人承受。

而且,当手机和PC因为存储涨价而承压,新品不得不大规模涨价时,用户购买NAS这类设备的意愿就会变得更强。存储涨价还会导致摄像头、相机等一切涉及存储的设备受到影响,NAS都能提供相对低成本的存储方案。

当然,这里还存在一个问题,NAS如果要走向AI化,需要强劲的本地算力,那么对内存或显卡显存的容量会增加,这又不可避免地导致成本大幅增加。所以,在我看来,在家庭场景中,所有智能设备都会走向AI化,但不会所有设备都拥有本地算力,更好的方案是其中一款本地设备充当AI枢纽的角色,给其他设备提供算力。而这个设备,目前来看NAS最适合。

NAS物种正在进化出「多样性」

我们认为,NAS AI化是大势所趋,但在具体的进化路线上会分化出不同的路线。

首先是存储功能优先的NAS,它们的核心功能仍然是数据存储,并且把价格作为主要卖点。硬件架构方面,它们不会太大的变化,但可能会借助云端算力和少量本地算力,实现本地文件精准查找、分类等功能。

这类品牌可能以绿联、极客云等为代表,它们用更加互联网的思维来做产品,提升交互和易用性,以触达更多的普通用户。以绿联的DH2300来说,它配备了8GB内存、双盘位和万兆网口,但价格只要千元出头,性价比碾压群晖这类传统品牌的产品。而且,它的基础功能做得很出色,办公协同、智能相册、影音解码等一应俱全,一个手机App就能搞定。

其次是硬件架构翻新的全能型AI NAS,以摩尔线程为代表。摩尔线程本身就是AI芯片公司,做出来的NAS完全是以AI设备的产品思路出发的。开头提到的AICUBE已经不是传统硬件架构的NAS了,可以视作融合设备。它的核心卖点是配备了强劲本地算力的同时,还拥有高拓展性的存储功能。基于此,它的本地文件不仅仅只是简单的存储和管理,还能够成为本地AI训练的数据,AI能够帮助用户理解和利用这些数据。

当然,AI NAS要爆发,不能只靠贴AI标签,还有其他门槛需要跨过。

第一道门槛是应用场景落地。AI NAS不是硬件规格表游戏,用户不会因为一个盒子有多少TOPS就买单,只会因为它能少花时间、少丢数据、少翻文件而买单。谁能把相册、文件、视频、监控、聊天资料、办公文档打通,谁才真正有机会。否则再强的本地算力,也会沦为少数玩家折腾模型部署的玩具。

第二道门槛是生态。AI中枢不是孤岛,它要和手机、PC、电视、摄像头、路由器、智能家居、办公软件协同。比如手机拍完照片自动进NAS,NAS完成识别和整理;PC写文档时调用NAS里的历史资料;电视播放家庭影像时自动生成相册故事;监控把关键事件交给NAS分析而不是全量上传云端。只有当NAS能持续给其他设备提供能力,它才会从存储设备变成家庭AI中枢。

还有一道门槛是信任。NAS保存的是用户最私密的数据,AI又会主动分析这些数据。厂商必须把权限管理、数据处理和调用的细节梳理清楚,获取用户信任。AI NAS的卖点越强,隐私和安全性就越不能糊弄。

所以,NAS会不会爆发,关键不在于AI热度,而在于它能否完成一次产品定义升级。
